Whether a detail works shows on the finished edge, not on the plan. That is why we keep the work in-house: our plasterers and flat-roof specialists work in the same firm as the architects.
They are there through every phase. The people who do the building say early on what will not work on site, and the answer does not have to travel through an outside firm. Quality control runs alongside the work instead of starting at handover.
You see little of good craftsmanship in the end. You notice it years later, when nothing cracks and nothing leaks.
